Professional Liability Insurance
Under our agreed coverage, the following maximum insurance sums are available per claim/per insurance year:

EUR 8,300,000, limited to EUR 8,000,000 for personal injury
EUR 5,300,000, and for property and financial losses EUR 24,900,000, limited to EUR 24,000,000 for personal injury or EUR 15,900,000 for property and financial losses.
These insurance sums are provided under the following policies:

Primary Contract with VHV Versicherung AG, with insurance sums of EUR 3,000,000 for personal injury and EUR 300,000 for property and financial losses, tripled per insurance year.
Excess Contract with HDI-Gerling Firmen und Privat Versicherung AG, with insurance sums of EUR 5,000,000 for personal, property, and financial losses combined, also tripled per insurance year.
We always strive to resolve any differences of opinion amicably. Consequently, and subject to any necessary approval by our liability insurer, we are prepared—where appropriate—to participate in a mediation procedure before the Arbitration and Mediation Committee of the Bavarian Chamber of Architects (composed of professional experts). However, we do not participate in dispute resolution proceedings before any consumer arbitration board as defined by the VSBG (German Consumer Dispute Resolution Act).
