Located in the bay of Opatija, Croatia, and blessed with an incomparable view, the south-facing property is set on steeply sloping terrain amid fragrant macchia. Seven individual building units—each raised on a podium embedded into the hillside—accommodate six luxurious apartments apiece. A rounded, rugged natural stone ridge shelters the apartments and protects them from the cold, descending winds of the coastal mountains. Facing the view, the rooms open onto expansive terraces reminiscent of ship decks. An open-air pool is seamlessly inlaid into the untouched ground like a precisely executed intarsia.
