The InfoBox of Messestadt-Riem is intended to broaden the perspective on the future of the new district—from the guiding urban planning concepts to their actual implementation. Its purpose is to inform; from a stately „stairway to the sky“ one can view the impressive construction activity from a prominent vantage point. The InfoBox is composed of standard containers and a white lattice structure made of conventional formwork beams and steel frames spaced 1.22 m apart; it is fundamentally adaptable, flexible, and completely disassemblable.

The exhibition space is illuminated by natural daylight from skylights on its north side. It is designed for multifunctional use—hosting permanent exhibitions, special shows, presentations, discussions, and workshops. It serves as a place of orientation and engagement with the projects that shape the future and transformation of Messestadt. Throughout the planning and construction years, the InfoBox functions as a landmark and meeting point, as well as an information and exhibition venue. External displays refer to the current exhibition.
