Construction Fence – Munich, Rossmarkt 6, Garden Courtyard (2022)
Based on an idea by Peter Bohn, the construction fence was handed over to the artist for creative appropriation for approximately two years.

He was given complete freedom in his choice of motifs. The production process and later the final result became a daily experience for our office. After the construction was completed in 2023, the work was dismantled, and various fragments have since found new homes among art-minded friends.

“The work references the damage patterns of a bark beetle.
The Buchdrucker, a subspecies of the bark beetle, burrows its breeding system from the outside into the bark of weakened coniferous trees.
Its German name derives from the distinctive relief of its brood chambers and larval tunnels, which resemble Arabic script.”
